Leopold Residence Hall, UW Madison


The new 64,400 SF, 176 bed residence hall – situated on the UW Madison campus – has achieved LEED Gold. The residence hall has 5 levels (4 stories with a walk out basement) and includes a greenhouse on the upper floor. The building also contains offices, a conference room, and support spaces for Residence Life. Sustainable Engineering Group was hired to provide commissioning services to the building from design through project completion. Systems that were commissioned include the building envelope, HVAC systems, lighting, fire alarm system, fire sprinkler system, plumbing, and renewable energy systems.
