UW Hospital and Clinics hired Sustainable Engineering Group to provide retro-commissioning services for the 3.6 million sqft UW Hospital and Clinics campus in Madison, WI. We began with an audit to investigate and analyze the performance of the existing building systems through the identification of efficient operational and capital intensive Facility Improvement Measures (FIMs). Building systems and elements analyzed include chilled water distribution and usage, heating hot water distribution and usage, steam distribution and usage BAS and building envelope. After completion of the audit we worked with the UW Hospital and Clinics team to implement the identified FIMs.
