Sustainable Engineering Group was hired to provide Retro-Commissioning Services for the Pomerantz Family Pavilion (PFP) facility at University of Iowa Hospital Campus in Iowa City, IA. The 730,000 sq ft PFP houses a variety of health care services including exam, procedure and surgery areas for a wide variety of clinical practices.
The project tasks included reducing the building energy consumption and putting in place measures to operate the equipment as originally intended throughout its life. Our work also focused on improving occupant comfort through controls programming modifications. In-Depth savings calculations document over $500,000/yr in energy cost savings.
