Sustainable Engineering Group provided commissioning and energy modeling services for the Gehl-Mulva Science Center on the St. Norbert College campus. The building is a ‘Green Lab’ space. The initial phase of the project was a renovation of the existing laboratory building with the second phase being a large addition. Throughout the course of construction the owner maintained partial occupancy. The heating and cooling systems are fed from a campus chilled water and steam system. Our commissioning work included the verification that the building energy systems are designed, installed and operated to meet the high level of energy efficiency expectations set by the owner.
