The main objective of our Conservation Applied Research and Development (CARD) study is to evaluate the operational energy performance of an advanced technology called displacement ventilation. We identified a regional sample of 26 buildings that utilize this technology, and compared their energy use to typical buildings of similar type, location, and size.
SEG has designed a survey aimed at determining potential cognitive and/or economic barriers to adopting this technology. The survey was distributed to Minnesota architects and engineers, then the surveys were collected and analyzed. Cost-benefit analyses were conducted, and a final report produced for review.
