HEARTLAND HOUSING – CAPUCHIN APARTMENTS

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The 27,000 SF, 38-unit multi-family housing facility – located at 2500 West Fond du Lac Avenue in Milwaukee, WI – has been designed to meet Green Communities certification criteria. Green Communities is the first national green building program focused entirely on affordable housing.  The apartment building has 3 levels and also contains a business center, community meeting room, fitness room, laundry room, offices, and tenant storage spaces. Sustainable Engineering Group was hired to provide commissioning services to the building from design through project completion. Systems that were commissioned include the HVAC systems, lighting, domestic hot water system, and renewable energy system (solar hot water).
