Fran Fruzen Intermediate School

Sustainable Engineering Group was hired to provide commissioning, geothermal engineering and energy modeling services for the new Fran Fruzen Intermediate School. SEG worked with the Design Team to model a variety of energy conservation measures, including automatic dimming daylighting controls and high efficiency geothermal heat pumps. In addition, SEG provided complete design services for a geothermal heating and cooling system. In the end, SEG estimated that this school will use 49% less energy than a typical K-12 school.
