US Department of Energy, Energy Assessment Tool Market Research

DOE2_thumbSustainable Engineering Group performed a market research study for the U.S. Department of Energy, investigating stakeholder responses toward a possible operation-focused complement to the Building Energy Asset Score assessment tool. This was accomplished by first identifying and enlisting key federal, state, and industry stakeholders. We then developed a semi-structured interview discussion guide, and collaborated with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) on development of an accompanying presentation. Nearly thirty in-depth, 45-minute interviews were conducted. Interview notes and transcripts were analyzed to identify common themes, which were described in a peer-reviewed, publication-quality final report.
