Eastern Iowa Airport

Sustainable Engineering Group performed an ASHRAE Level II energy audit for the Eastern Iowa Airport Phase 1 passenger terminal in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Level II Energy Audit identified high-level energy efficiency measures that appear to merit further investigation and analysis, along with rough project costs and savings estimates. The objective of this effort was to observe the main energy consuming building systems such as heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, plug load and domestic hot water usage and gain a reasonable understanding of the potential opportunities that may be available to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability at the facility.  This information was then used for consideration when compiling the Master Plan for the airport, written by Mead and Hunt.
