Sustainable Engineering Group provided two services for the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The first was to study the economic feasibility of a geothermal heat pump system compared to a conventional variable air volume system.
The second service was to provide an energy efficiency analysis for a 28,000 sf remodel/addition project for the terminal as part of the Wisconsin’s Focus on Energy (FOE) program for New Construction and Technical Assistance. The goal of this effort was to reduce the energy usage of the building by at least 10%. Phase 2 of the remodel/addition project consisted of a 5,000 sf addition to the south end of the terminal and a 7,000 sf remodel of the north end office space (excluding HVAC).
