Aurora Health Care Medical Center

The Aurora Health Care Medical Center is an 89-bed hospital located in Grafton, WI. The modern design emphasizes the comfort and convenience of patients and their families. The facility was designed to incorporate various criteria of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) v2.2 program. Sustainable Engineering Group provided energy modeling services and recommended strategies to help improve the energy performance of the design. As a result of our involvement, the facility was able to qualify for a $215,000 energy-efficiency grant from Focus on Energy. During the post-construction phase of the project, Sustainable Engineering Group also performed Measurement and Verification services for the facility, which is an important, but often neglected, “last step” in commissioning.
