Manus McDevitt, PE, CCP, CPMP, HPBDP, LEED® AP

As a founding principal of Sustainable Engineering Group, LLC, Manus McDevitt has over 24 years of experience in HVAC design, retro-commissioning, energy efficiency engineering and building commissioning. He has been extensively involved in the sustainable design industry from early in his career.

Manus’ project experience includes hospitals, research laboratories, corporate campuses, government buildings and arts and entertainment complexes. He has been involved extensively in obtaining LEED certification for many buildings and is currently a LEED accredited professional. Manus holds a certified Geothermal Designer License and is one of the Midwest’s leading experts of geothermal systems. Civically, he formerly served as a board member for the ASHRAE Madison chapter and the Wisconsin Geothermal Association.


Svein Morner, PE, Ph.D., CCP, CPMP, LEED®       AP

Svein Morner has been a leader in the development of the sustainable design and commissioning industry from early in his career. He has completed several research studies including analysis of energy self sufficient buildings, fuel cell design and solar panels.

His work experience ranges from project management with a large mechanical contractor to serving as a commissioning authority on many building project types including schools, hospitals, laboratories, government and commercial buildings.

Svein has also been responsible for research studies on thermal storage systems. He has created guidelines for heating, ventilation and air conditioning of chemical, nuclear and bio-technical laboratories, the duct design of heating ventilating and air-conditioning systems, and productivity in the hospitality industry.

Svein has served as a chair of and is still active with ASHRAE Techncal committee 6.7 Solar Energy Utilization. He was involved in the development of ASHRAE Guideline 0 “The Commissioning Process” and is a LEED accredited professional.
